Mobile Chip Repair uses an injection-vacuum process in which an optically matched organic resin is injected into damaged outer safelite layer and air is removed by vacuum. The resin is cured by Ultra Violet light and a thicker, UV resistant resin is applied at the surface to insure durability. The windshield chip repair process generally takes 15 to 20 minutes and the vehicle can be driven immediately after repair. A cosmetic blemish will remain.
